On the latest episode of Monday Night RAW, it was officially announced that Paul Heyman will lead WWE’s Hall of Fame Class of 2024. It’s a remarkable honor for an equally remarkable individual.
Heyman, known as “The Wiseman” in pro wrestling circles, has played a pivotal role in shaping the careers of numerous talents in the industry.
One of those talents is the legendary Stone Cold Steve Austin, who attributes much of his exceptional promo skills to Heyman.
Throughout his illustrious career, Austin delivered unforgettable promos, none more iconic than his “Austin 3:16” moment. However, it was Heyman who helped him hone his mic skills, dating back to their time together in ECW.
In his book “The Stone Cold Truth,” Austin detailed their special relationship, acknowledging Heyman’s influence:
“I owe Paul Heyman for that opportunity because he was the guy who let me do it. And he’s the guy who gave me feedback. He’d tell me what I might want to talk about, but he didn’t tell me how to say it. He’d just say, “Talk about this.” I’d say, “Well …” And he’d say, “Just talk about how you really feel.” Man, once he said that there I was. So I have to give Paul E. a lot of credit for my learning how to cut a promo,”
wrote Stone Cold.
Heyman’s induction into the Hall of Fame is a testament to his legendary status in the industry. Having him enshrined in Philadelphia, where he made his mark with ECW, adds an extra layer of significance to the honor.

Speaking about his impending induction, Heyman expressed his appreciation for the city of Philadelphia and his brainchild, ECW.
While he hails from New York, Heyman feels that Philadelphia is the perfect setting for his induction, given ECW’s roots in the city. He emphasized the significance of being recognized alongside ECW, dubbing it “an induction that’s destined to be extreme.”
In the weeks ahead, WWE is expected to announce more inductees for the 2024 class. As fans eagerly await these announcements, speculation mounts over who else will join Heyman in the Hall of Fame this year.
