Scotty Riggs, a seasoned wrestler known for his tenure in WCW during the ’90s, recently made a remarkable comeback to the Squared Circle after a lengthy hiatus spanning 15 years.
Riggs, whose last match was in 2009, reentered the ring on February 8, 2024, at a Turnbuckle Championship Wrestling event.
His return bout saw him team up with fellow wrestlers QT Marshall, Luther Biggs, and Glacier, as they faced off against Sunny Daze, Owen Knight, Duncan Mitchell, and Adam Priest. The quartet secured a victory in Riggs’ first match in over a decade and a half.
Riggs’ previous match was part of the Legends of the Arena – ECW Reunion Show held on June 26, 2009. In that event, he participated in a Triple Threat match against Rhyno and Jamie Dundee, ultimately falling short as Rhyno emerged victorious.
Despite his absence from the ring, Riggs has kept his connection with wrestling alive over the years, having made sporadic appearances in various independent promotions.

His partnership with Buff Bagwell in WCW remains a notable chapter in his wrestling career, characterized by camaraderie and shared experiences on the road.
Reflecting on his collaboration with Bagwell during his WCW days, Riggs emphasized their mutual rapport and the support he received from Bagwell, particularly during their extensive travels. Their teamwork was evident both inside and outside the ring, contributing to their success as a tag team.
As for Rhyno, another wrestling stalwart, his last WWE match dates back to 2019, with his current affiliation being with TNA. Despite their distinct career trajectories, both Riggs and Rhyno have left lasting impressions on the wrestling world, each contributing to the sport’s rich tapestry.
Riggs’ return to the ring at the age of 52 showcases his enduring passion for wrestling and his commitment to entertaining fans. Whether his recent comeback marks a one-time event or signals a more sustained return to wrestling remains to be seen, but his remarkable resilience and dedication to the craft are undeniable.
