To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Five Nights at Freddy’s franchise, the game’s creators released some special content, including behind-the-scenes photos of the animatronic workshop and four pages from the screenplay for the upcoming Five Nights at Freddy’s movie sequel. However, there’s a twist—only one of these screenplay pages is authentic, and fans have been challenged to identify the real one among three fakes.
ScottGames, the creator behind the series, teased this mystery on Twitter, revealing that one genuine page from the sequel’s screenplay would be released, but it would be accompanied by three fabricated ones.
The challenge was set for fans to figure out which page is authentic, adding a layer of interactive fun to the celebration. This move has generated significant buzz within the fan community, as they eagerly analyze each script page.
The four released pages depict vastly different scenes: one features Vanessa trapped inside the animatronic Chica, another involves a conversation between military officials about testing robotics at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria, the third has Abby instructing Mike to burn contaminated plushies, and the fourth shows a man and two kids entering Freddy Fazbear’s, turning on the animatronics and carousel, and descending into darkness.
These diverse scenarios have sparked intense speculation among fans, with many leaning toward the fourth script as the real one due to its alignment with elements from the second game.
Despite the majority favoring the fourth page, some fans argue that the second script, involving the military, might be the authentic one. They suggest that this scenario could explain the facial recognition feature in the toy animatronics from Five Nights at Freddy’s 2. The debate over which script is genuine has only added to the anticipation surrounding the movie sequel.
In addition to the screenplay pages, behind-the-scenes photos from Jim Henson’s Creature Shop were also released, showing Toy and Withered versions of Freddy, Bonnie, Foxy, and Chica—characters from the second game.
This suggests that the sequel may closely follow the game’s storyline. The second Five Nights at Freddy’s movie, set to start filming in October, continues the story of a night security guard at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria, where animatronics come to life with deadly intent. The sequel is slated for release on December 5, 2025.
