In a recent discussion on Cafe De Rene, former WWE Superstar Rene Dupree shared insights on allegations against Vince McMahon, shedding light on an incident involving Jackie Gayda.
Dupree recalled a narrative from fellow wrestler Charlie Haas, who recounted being fired by Johnny Ace alongside Jackie on the day of their return from their honeymoon.
Dupree hinted at McMahon’s advances towards Jackie, which she rebuffed. He remarked, “And you see what happened once she and Charlie got married. If you listen to this story it seems like if you don’t put Vince over and you don’t boost his ego, he gets mad at you and takes it out on your career.”
The conversation delved into the broader context of McMahon’s behavior amidst allegations of sexual assault and sex trafficking brought forth by former WWE employee Janel Grant, leading to McMahon’s resignation from his position at TKO Group Holdings.
Seth Rollins, the World Heavyweight Champion, expressed his dismay over the situation in a recent interview with Sean Ross Sapp, condemning the allegations and expressing hope for justice if they prove accurate.
Rollins confessed his shock, stating, “When you see stuff like that, it’s jarring and it’s painful. It sucks all around. There is just no other way to say it. It sucks. It really sucks.”
With McMahon’s departure from WWE and the company flourishing under the leadership of Triple H, the likelihood of his name resurfacing on WWE television seems remote.
The shift in leadership signals a new era for the company, distancing itself from the controversies surrounding its former CEO.
