Triple H recently orchestrated the return of Andrade to WWE at the Royal Rumble, marking another addition to the list of stars rehired by the former wrestling legend.
Andrade, who had previously achieved prominence in NXT during the Black and Gold era, found himself struggling to make an impact upon moving to the main roster.
Frustrated with his position, he requested his release from WWE in March 2021, subsequently joining All Elite Wrestling (AEW). However, his stint in AEW failed to yield significant success, leading to his surprising return to WWE at the Royal Rumble.
While Andrade’s comeback was eagerly anticipated by fans, his reception since his return has been mixed. His performance in the men’s Royal Rumble match left some fans underwhelmed, and he has received limited TV time in the subsequent weeks.
Despite being a notable name with a history of success in NXT, Andrade has been noticeably absent from the Elimination Chamber qualifying matches, sparking disappointment among fans. Some have expressed confusion over his omission compared to other participants, such as Ivar.
Andrade went from being in the beast C2, having bangers, & even getting Ws over ppl like Bryan Danielson in AEW to being a scrub in the Royal Rumble, off TV the next few weeks, & not even good enough for this 12 man tournament to qualify for the Elimination Chamber.

Andrade’s earlier success in WWE came during his tenure in NXT, where he was a significant figure under the leadership of Triple H. Paired with manager Zelina Vega, Andrade secured the NXT Championship during his stint in the developmental brand.
With Triple H now taking a more prominent role in the creative aspects of the main roster, fans are hopeful that Andrade’s second stint with WWE will be more successful than his previous attempts.
Currently assigned to the RAW brand, Andrade has yet to be involved in a prominent storyline. It’s worth noting that he is married to Charlotte Flair, a top female star in WWE history, and their relationship was cited as one of the reasons for Andrade’s desire to return to the company.
Despite the couple currently being on separate brands, fans are optimistic about Andrade’s potential trajectory under the guidance of Triple H.
