Ex-Champion Claims WrestleMania Can’t Happen Without Him Before WWE SmackDown Match

WWE sensation Austin Theory isn’t holding back on social media, asserting that WrestleMania just wouldn’t be the same without him.

With the biggest event in wrestling just around the corner, Theory finds himself absent from the current match lineup.

Reflecting on his triumph at WrestleMania 39, where he defeated John Cena to secure the United States Championship, and his involvement in a memorable showdown with Pat McAfee the year prior, Theory is adamant about his significance on the grand stage.

Taking to Twitter to stir anticipation for his upcoming match on SmackDown alongside Grayson Waller, Theory boldly proclaimed their role in WrestleMania history.

Teaming up to face Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson in a qualifying match for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship, Theory confidently stated, “You can’t have WrestleMania without A-Town Down Under! Tomorrow we take #NewTagTeamChampions #SmackDown.”

Amidst the buzz, Jonathan Coachman weighed in on Theory’s potential during an episode of the Behind The Turnbuckle podcast.

Coachman, recognizing Theory’s impressive track record as a multi-time United States Champion and former protege of Seth Rollins, didn’t hold back his praise.

“He [Theory], to me, he’s the next guy. He’s the next guy. And people think that he’s an overnight success. He’s been around for a minute. He’s not, you know, he’s not brand new,”

Coachman remarked.

While Theory’s momentum may have cooled off in recent months, Coachman’s words underscore the belief that Theory possesses the makings of a future face of WWE.
