This decision was made to avoid overlapping with the launch window of Life Is Strange: Double Exposure, developed by Deck Nine. Double Exposure, a sequel to the original Life Is Strange series by Don’t Nod, is scheduled for release on October 29.
In a press release, Don’t Nod cited a thorough assessment of current industry trends and developments as the reason behind the delay. They emphasized their desire to give both Lost Records and Life Is Strange: Double Exposure ample space to be appreciated by their dedicated fanbase.
Oskar Guilbert, CEO of Don’t Nod, expressed confidence in the decision, stating that the delay will ultimately benefit both titles and allow each to thrive within the community they’ve cultivated.
Lost Records: Bloom & Rage, much like its predecessor Life Is Strange, promises a narrative-driven experience centered around teenagers grappling with supernatural mysteries. Don’t Nod remains optimistic about the reception of Lost Records, envisioning it as another significant addition to their expanding universe of storytelling adventures.
The delay aims to ensure that both games receive the attention and appreciation they deserve upon release, contributing to the ongoing legacy of narrative excellence established by the studio.
