After an eight-month hiatus from AEW television, Jack Perry made a dramatic return on “AEW Dynamite,” appearing in the main event segment to confront AEW President Tony Khan.
Perry requested Khan to reinstate him and expressed a desire to “continue to change the world together.”
However, Perry’s intentions took a surprising turn when he punched Khan in the stomach and set him up for further assault by The Elite.
Perry’s return marked a significant moment, as he had not been seen in AEW since his appearance at All In in August 2023, before his unexpected comeback at Dynasty.
Accompanied by The Young Bucks and Kazuchika Okada, Perry entered the arena through the back and eventually made his way to Khan’s office.
Later in the show, it was announced that Perry and Khan would have a face-to-face confrontation in the ring, marking Khan’s first physical involvement in the company’s five-year history.
Addressing the Jacksonville crowd, Perry expressed fond memories of his time there but swiftly shifted focus to the business at hand, insisting on a direct confrontation with Khan.
Despite acknowledging their past differences, Perry emphasized his commitment to AEW, stating, “The only thing I have ever wanted is what’s best for AEW.”
Following a seemingly reconciliatory embrace, Perry launched a sudden attack on Khan, culminating in The Young Bucks delivering the finishing blow with the TK Driver.
As the show concluded, a wave of AEW stars rushed to the ring to assist Khan, joined by Shahid Khan, Tony’s father, and AEW co-owner, who appeared visibly stunned and concerned for his son’s well-being.
