The legal challenges surrounding Vince McMahon, particularly in the context of a lawsuit that reportedly referenced Brock Lesnar, have resulted in significant changes in WWE plans.
With Lesnar’s reported appearances being pulled, Bron Breakker has seemingly stepped into the role that was initially intended for the Beast Incarnate. Dutch Mantell, a wrestling veteran, sees this as a stroke of luck for the young star.
In the aftermath of Janel Grant’s lawsuit, WWE not only distanced itself from Vince McMahon but also had to revise all reported plans involving Brock Lesnar, including a rumored return at the Royal Rumble.
Reports indicate that WWE has brought in Bron Breakker as a replacement for Lesnar, and the two-time NXT Champion made an impressive debut in his first Royal Rumble match.
Bron Breakker’s promising start has led to increased visibility, including a recent appearance on SmackDown where he engaged in a captivating backstage segment with Triple H and Paul Heyman.
Dutch Mantell, speaking on Sportskeeda Wrestling’s Smack Talk, acknowledged the fortuitous timing for Bron Breakker, stepping into a role that Brock Lesnar might have filled on the Road to WrestleMania.
“What a lucky guy! Bron Breaker comes in right when Brock leaves. So, they have got a spot for him? Can you get any luckier than that? I think they are going to put him into it.” [50:40 – 51:30]
While Bron Breakker may not have the same level of experience as Brock Lesnar, he has showcased explosive talent during his time in NXT, earning recognition as one of WWE’s most promising talents.
Dutch Mantell emphasized that, in addition to Breakker’s capabilities, the advantage for WWE is that his appearances wouldn’t come with the same financial commitment as Brock Lesnar.
“Younger and not that expensive,” Dutch added. [51:31 onwards]
WWE seems to be laying the groundwork for Bron Breakker’s potential ascent, possibly aligning him with Paul Heyman, a role previously occupied by Brock Lesnar.
Despite his youth, Breakker is positioned as a promising talent with the potential to follow in the footsteps of Brock Lesnar in the WWE landscape.
