Brock Lesnar’s final WWE showdown took place against Cody Rhodes at SummerSlam 2023, where The Beast, although defeated, gracefully acknowledged The American Nightmare’s triumph by raising Rhodes’ hand in a show of respect.
While fans anticipated Lesnar’s return in the 2024 Men’s Royal Rumble match, recent events suggest his comeback may be postponed indefinitely.
Allegations and a subsequent lawsuit filed by a former WWE staff member, implicating Vince McMahon, have ensnared Lesnar in controversy. Consequently, WWE has distanced itself from the decorated former champion, tapping Bron Breakker to replace him at Royal Rumble 2024.
Speculation now arises regarding Lesnar’s potential retirement from in-ring competition and whether his progeny will carry on his storied legacy. Lesnar shares two sons, Turk and Duke, born in 2009 and 2010, respectively, with his wife Sable.
In a candid interview, The Beast shed light on his sons’ lack of interest in wrestling, noting their preference for hockey over the squared circle.
“I tried to introduce them to wrestling, but it didn’t resonate with them. They were about five and six at the time, and I brought out these little singlets. They were like, ‘What is that? Slingshots?’ They’re hockey players. Personally, it’s a welcome change for me. Spending another 20 years in a wrestling room wasn’t in the cards. Now I’m at ice rinks. It’s different and enjoyable,” Lesnar remarked.
Additionally, Lesnar shares a son named Luke and a daughter named Mya Lynn with his ex-fiancée Nicole McCain. While Mya Lynn has made a name for herself as a shot put champion, setting records with her impressive throws, Luke has explored wrestling and excels in ice hockey, clinching the Minnesota State Championship thrice.
As speculation swirls regarding Lesnar’s WWE future, wrestling pundit Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio suggests that while Lesnar’s return may not be imminent, the volatile nature of the industry leaves the door open for unforeseen developments.
“While it seems unlikely that Brock Lesnar will grace WWE screens anytime soon, the ever-evolving landscape of professional wrestling makes definitive statements challenging. Talent with drawing power tends to find a path back, even when it seems unlikely,” Meltzer opined.
Lesnar’s slated matchup against Dominik Mysterio at Elimination Chamber 2024 has been scrapped from the cards, leaving fans eagerly awaiting further developments in The Beast’s saga.
