WWE Superstar Braun Strowman recently shared an update on his journey to recovery as WrestleMania XL approaches.
Strowman’s absence from WWE has been noticeable, with his last match dating back to the May 1 episode of RAW, where he partnered with Ricochet to defeat The Alpha Academy.
Unfortunately, a neck injury forced him to undergo level-one fusion surgery on his C4 and C5 vertebrae the following month, keeping him sidelined from in-ring action since then.
Despite his hiatus, the 40-year-old made a poignant appearance on WWE television during the Bray Wyatt tribute episode, alongside Erick Rowan, honoring the late former World Champion.
Ahead of WrestleMania XL, Strowman participated in a WWE World event alongside Tyler Breeze to auction off WWE memorabilia on Fanatics Live.
During the event, he provided insight into his injury recovery process, revealing that he is eagerly awaiting clearance from his doctor:
“Really good, really good. Feeling good. Just waiting on that doctor to say go…We’re right there [in the home stretch]. Could feel the tension in the air. So, [on] May 1st, I got hurt. I had surgery [on] June 1st. So, I just had a CT scan back in January. The bones are very close to being fused up. So, that feeling I got a metal plate and four screws in my neck now. But, it ain’t gonna stop me,”
he shared.
In addition to his recovery update, Strowman reminisced about his memorable victory over Goldberg at WrestleMania 36, where he captured the WWE Universal Championship.

As anticipation mounts for his return, Strowman’s appearances on WWE Countdown to WrestleMania and interactions with fans spark hope for his full-time comeback, leaving fans eager to witness his triumphant return to action.
