Former NXT Champion Bron Breakker has already made his mark on the main roster. He recently crossed paths with Cameron Grimes on SmackDown before Grimes’ departure from WWE.
During his stint in NXT, Breakker formed a successful tag team with Baron Corbin, capturing the NXT Tag Team Championships before dropping them to Axiom and Nathan Frazer.
Now, according to a report by Corey Brennan of Fightful Select, Baron Corbin is expected to make his return to the main roster during the upcoming WWE Draft.
Last year, Corbin was a “free agent” during the Draft, allowing him to choose his brand. Since his loss to Butch (now Pete Dunne) on the June 9, 2023, episode of SmackDown, Corbin hasn’t competed on the main roster.
WWE NXT star Carmelo Hayes recently praised Baron Corbin for his mentorship to younger talents.
In an interview with Bill Apter on Wrestling, Hayes expressed gratitude for Corbin’s guidance, highlighting how he helped NXT stars prepare for the transition to the main roster.
“Actually, I appreciate Baron Corbin a lot. He’s one of those guys that, he came in, you know, he took a lot of us younger guys under his wing in a way; and kind of just smartened us up on the game. There is a lot of stuff that we don’t know on the other side, that we aren’t privy to because we haven’t got to experience that yet,” Hayes shared.
Baron Corbin, a former United States Champion and King of the Ring winner, brings a wealth of experience to WWE.
Fans eagerly await his return to the main roster, anticipating what lies ahead for the 39-year-old wrestler.
