Baldur’s Gate 3 Dominates Nominations at the Gayming Awards

In an announcement via social media, Larian, the studio behind the beloved RPG, revealed that the game has been nominated for Best LGBTQ Character, Authentic Representation, the Gayming Magazine Readers’ Award, the Industry Diversity Award, and Game of the Year.

Not far behind, indie adventure game Thirsty Suitors follows closely with four nominations, while Final Fantasy 16 and The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom secure three and two nominations, respectively.

The Gayming Awards ceremony is scheduled to be broadcast live on April 7, 2024, at 10 pm UK time (11 pm CET / 5 pm ET / 2 pm PT).

In case you missed it, Baldur’s Gate 3 will be receiving official mod support in the future, including cross-platform support for consoles.

Michael Douse, Larian’s director of publishing, has outlined plans for this support as “robust,” although an exact release date has yet to be provided, other than confirmation that it’s planned for sometime this year. According to Douse, the system is in place but requires thorough testing and additional work before its rollout.
