Few wrestlers in the history of professional wrestling can boast a career as successful as AEW’s Bryan Danielson.
From his early days in ROH, he’s been hailed as one of the greatest of his generation, and his reputation has only grown over time, with some even considering him the best ever.
However, at AEW Dynasty, he faced off against another claimant to greatness in Will Ospreay, in a match that many are touting as the year’s best so far.
Jeff Jarrett, a longtime admirer of Danielson, shared his thoughts on why “The American Dragon” is held in such high esteem during an episode of his “My World” podcast.
“Yes, he’s proficient in a variety of moves, but what truly sets him apart, in my opinion, is his impeccable timing and storytelling ability,” Jarrett remarked.
Reflecting on Ospreay’s strengths, Jarrett added, “Then along comes Will Ospreay. He hasn’t just appeared out of nowhere; he’s put in the work, as evidenced by his successful career in Japan.
Now that he’s entered the AEW arena, I believe he stands alone athletically. He possesses a unique ability to execute maneuvers that few others can, all while incorporating subtle nuances into his performance.”
Jarrett, like many others, lauded the match at Dynasty and anticipates further encounters between the two competitors.
“While the match has already occurred, I remain enthralled by AEW. The promotion delivered a professional wrestling spectacle that is unmatched,” Jarrett expressed.
“It’s hard to put into words, but it was truly a match for the ages… I’m eagerly awaiting the rematch.”
