With the WWE Draft looming on the horizon, RAW General Manager Adam Pearce has finally broken his silence, shedding light on his game plan as he prepares to go head-to-head against SmackDown GM Nick Aldis.
As anticipation builds for tonight’s draft on SmackDown, one faction stands as a frontrunner for the coveted first overall pick.
In a recent video released by the promotion, Pearce delved into his strategy for the upcoming draft, emphasizing his commitment to ensuring the success of both brands.
Reflecting on the unique challenge of going the draft while representing both brands, Pearce articulated his dual responsibility:
“You know, it is interesting this year because this is the first year that I can remember where I am literally playing chess with somebody else. I’ve done this in the past, being in charge of both brands, it is a different animal. You are responsible for trying to balance out, and make sure that both products are as good as they can be for the masses, for the WWE Universe,” he shared.
Acknowledging the shift in dynamics due to his competition with SmackDown’s Nick Aldis, Pearce underscored his commitment to making RAW the premier brand:
“So now, I’m competing with Nick [Aldis], we have the same goal in mind: we want to make our show ‘the A-show.’ My responsibility to the flagship, to Monday Night RAW, is to uphold and stand with that history, with that heritage, for everything that Monday Night RAW stands for. To make sure that it carries forward into our future, into this new era, it is exciting, and it all starts tonight,” he added.
In the midst of draft speculation, former WWE writer Vince Russo weighed in on potential picks, singling out Tiffany Stratton as a standout choice for either Pearce or Aldis.
Russo’s endorsement of Stratton as a potential ratings magnet adds an extra layer of intrigue to the draft proceedings.
As the countdown to the WWE Draft ticks away, the wrestling world eagerly awaits the unveiling of rosters, poised to witness which brand will emerge victorious in the battle for supremacy.
