Former WWE Superstar Rene Dupree recently recounted a humorous yet embarrassing incident involving a drunken phone call with veteran wrestling figure John Laurinaitis.
Dupree disclosed that during his time in Japan, he received frequent calls from Laurinaitis, urging him to re-sign with WWE. However, one intoxicated evening, Dupree decided to return one of these calls.
In his inebriated state, he bluntly told Laurinaitis to “go fu*k himself.” Unsurprisingly, Laurinaitis was not amused and subsequently inquired if Dupree was ready to seek help for his alcohol abuse.
Meanwhile, Ronda Rousey, in an interview promoting her upcoming memoir, didn’t hold back in her remarks about Johnny Ace and Bruce Prichard.
She expressed frustration about the word limit imposed on her book, indicating she had more to say about her experiences with them.
Rousey’s departure from WWE after her loss to Shayna Baszler at SummerSlam 2023 marked the end of her second stint with the company. Despite her departure, Rousey’s impact on WWE’s women’s division was significant.
She notably competed in the main event of WrestleMania 35, defending the RAW Women’s Championship against Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair. Although she was defeated by Lynch, the match marked a milestone for women in wrestling.
While Rousey has expressed no desire to return to WWE, her contributions to the company’s history, including her role in elevating women’s wrestling, remain noteworthy.
