Heading into the upcoming edition of Monday Night RAW, WWE Superstar Ricochet recently made a bold claim.
The 35-year-old athlete faced a setback when he suffered a concussion during a No 1 Contendership Fatal Four Way Match for the Intercontinental Championship on the November 6, 2023, episode of the red brand.
Competing against The Miz, Bronson Reed, and Ivar, The A-lister emerged victorious, earning a title shot against Gunther. Unfortunately, this marked Ricochet’s last in-ring appearance on the TV show as he was forced out of action.
Despite the absence from the televised events, Ricochet has been actively participating in live events since his return, a month after recovering from the concussion.
His return also included an entry into the Men’s Royal Rumble Match at No. 28, where he faced an early elimination by Drew McIntyre.
Recently, Ricochet shared a photograph on Instagram, captured by his fiancé and WWE RAW ring announcer Samantha Irvin.
Accompanying the image was a bold claim from the former NXT North American Champion, asserting that he is currently the best, and his true potential is yet to be fully realized.
“‘I’m the best yet and yet my best is yet to come.’•📸 : @samanthairvinwwe [Samantha Irvin],”
he conveyed in the caption.
While Ricochet has faced challenges in reaching the anticipated pinnacle of his career, there are different opinions on how to enhance his persona.
Wrestling veteran Vince Russo, in a discussion on Writing with Russo, suggested that Ricochet should consider adopting his real name, Trevor Mann.
Additionally, Russo proposed the idea of having Ricochet wear a suit, presenting a new and unique character direction for the talented wrestler.
Ricochet’s hiatus from regular in-ring action on weekly television has raised eyebrows, especially given his reputation for delivering highly entertaining matches.
As fans await his return to RAW, the timing of WWE’s decision to reintroduce him to the television audience remains uncertain.
