Niantic has just announced an exciting celebration of nature in the form of Pokémon Go’s upcoming event, Verdant Wonders.
From March 21st to 25th, trainers are in for an adventure filled with special research, increased encounters, and enticing rewards, all centered around the return of the jungle rogue.
The star of the show in Pokémon Go’s Verdant Wonders event is the exclusive Special Research story, Rogue of the Jungle, featuring Zarude, the mysterious Rogue Monkey Pokémon.
For $7.99 or the local equivalent, players can dive into a captivating narrative, unlocking the opportunity to encounter Zarude.
But the perks don’t end there—ticket holders will also receive premium battle passes, rare candies, and encounters with both Dark and Grass-type Pokémon.
Using Incense during the event will prove beneficial, bringing forth a diverse array of Pokémon like Panpour, Pansage, Pansear, Cutiefly, and more.
Additionally, the event will introduce new costumed Pokémon, with Cottonee and Whimsicott donning flower crowns for the first time. Keep a keen eye out for Shiny variants of these Pokémon, adding an element of surprise to your encounters.
Trainers will also have the opportunity to capture Pokémon such as Bulbasaur, Oddish, Tangela, Shroomish, and regional variants of Flabébé.
Completing Field Research tasks will lead to encounters with Vulpix, Poliwag, Marill, and more. Engage in Collection Challenges to earn Stardust, XP, and special encounters featuring Cottonee wearing a charming flower crown.
Throughout the event, make sure to explore PokéStops showcasing event-themed Pokémon, creating additional chances to catch ’em all.
These showcases will be scattered across multiple stops, ensuring there’s always something exciting to discover. Pokémon Go recently launched its World of Wonders season, introducing several Pokémon from the Paldean region.
