The ID@Xbox initiative has introduced a new program called Indie Selects, aiming to showcase top indie games available on the Xbox platform.
Under the Indie Selects program, games handpicked by the ID@Xbox team will be prominently featured in a dedicated section on the Xbox Store. This curated collection will provide a permanent space for users to discover and explore notable indie titles.
Every Wednesday, the Indie Selects program will highlight selected games through various channels. These include dedicated channels for recently released games, those following weekly themes suggested by players on social media, and a channel showcasing indie games from around the world. Additionally, users can find sections for titles available for pre-order and games to add to their wish list.
The conclusion of each month will see a special showcase where six titles are recognized as Indie Selects. These titles are chosen through a voting process by the ID@Xbox team.
The selected games will be featured in a unique collection for that week, accompanied by an article published on Xbox Wire. Developers of these chosen titles will also receive a digital award in recognition of their achievements.
The ID@Xbox team expressed their excitement about the Indie Selects program, stating, “With a dedicated, permanent, curated collection in the Xbox Store, we’ll be able to bring more attention to games that we feel are particularly special—everything from current favorites to older gems from new creators around the world.”
