The wrestling community has come together to show support for Maryse after the former Divas Champion shared a health update revealing her diagnosis of a rare pre-cancer condition in her ovaries.

Maryse recently underwent laparoscopy surgery, during which 11 implants related to the rare pre-cancerous condition were discovered and removed around her uterus, ovaries, and connective tissues in her abdominal cavity.
The implants were identified as serous borderline tumors. Maryse is scheduled for a total hysterectomy surgery in four weeks as part of her ongoing battle against the condition.
The outpouring of support from her colleagues and the wrestling community reflects the close-knit bond within the industry, emphasizing the unity and empathy wrestlers share beyond the ring.
Maryse, a two-time Divas Champion, has been relatively off the pro wrestling radar since her release from WWE in 2011. However, she has made occasional appearances on TV programming and participated in a few matches.
Her most recent in-ring appearance was in 2022 when she teamed up with The Miz in a match against Edge and Beth Phoenix. The popular duo, known as “The IT Couple,” has faced other pairs in mixed tag team action, including John Cena & Nikki Bella and Daniel Bryan & Brie Bella. Maryse also had a singles match against Brie Garcia during The Miz’s feud with Daniel Bryan.
Beyond the wrestling world, Maryse and The Miz, real name Mike Mizanin, have been married since 2014. The couple has shared their lives on reality TV through shows like “Miz and Mrs.” and “Total Divas.”
