An absent WWE Superstar recently chimed in on CM Punk’s latest update shared via social media.
Punk, who’s on the mend from a torn tricep incurred during the Men’s Royal Rumble Match in January, has been keeping fans in the loop about his recovery journey.
Charlotte Flair, who faced her own setback with a significant injury last December, has been diligently updating her followers on her progress.
The former Women’s Champion sustained a torn MCL, ACL, and meniscus during a match on SmackDown against Asuka.
In a recent social media post, Punk shared a video of his workout routine, marking six weeks post-surgery. Interestingly, he tagged Charlotte Flair as his “spirit animal” in the post, acknowledging her resilience.
Flair, in response, reacted to Punk’s gesture on her Instagram story, adding a clapping emoji to signify her approval.
Meanwhile, AEW star QT Marshall weighed in on CM Punk’s return to WWE. Reflecting on Punk’s stint in AEW, Marshall expressed that the experience likely bolstered Punk’s confidence in his abilities.
Marshall opined that if Punk couldn’t continue with AEW, it made sense for him to explore opportunities with WWE.
In an interview with Sportskeeda Wrestling’s Bill Apter, Marshall shared,
“Yes and No, I don’t think he got to finish his story even at AEW. I think being in AEW kinda gave him the confidence to know that people were still there for him and he could still do it. If you’re gonna do it and you can’t do it at AEW anymore for whatever the reasons were, then go back to WWE if they’re willing to give him a chance.”
Meanwhile, Drew McIntyre has been taking playful jabs at CM Punk as he continues his recovery.
With Punk slated to make an appearance on next week’s WWE RAW in Chicago, speculation mounts whether McIntyre might seize the opportunity to confront him ahead of his WrestleMania World Heavyweight Championship match against Seth Rollins.
Time will tell how this unfolds on the grand stage of WWE.
