WWE SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis recently shed light on a significant match set to take place at WrestleMania XL.
In the latest edition of Friday Night SmackDown, Bianca Belair showcased her dominance by triumphing over Dakota Kai in a singles showdown.
However, the celebration was short-lived as Damage CTRL launched an assault on Belair post-match.
The scene escalated into a chaotic brawl, with Naomi and Jade Cargill rushing to Belair’s aid and ultimately clearing the ring of Damage CTRL.

In a post-show interview, Nick Aldis shared his reactions to the intense encounter, expressing a mix of emotions ranging from irritation towards Damage CTRL’s actions to admiration for Jade Cargill’s athleticism. Inspired by the events, Aldis announced a high-stakes six-woman tag team match for WrestleMania XL. The match will feature Cargill, Belair, and Naomi taking on the formidable trio of Asuka, Kairi Sane, and Dakota Kai.
“I have several reactions, I have several emotions. Let’s say, irritation at the behaviour of Damage CTRL, awestruck at the physical prowess of Jade Cargill. I’d say the number one feeling I have is inspiration. After seeing that, I’m inspired to make a match for WrestleMania. At WrestleMania I’ve decided, we’re gonna have a six women tag team match, Dakota Kai and the Kabuki Warriors, will take on Naomi, Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill,”
stated Aldis.
Bianca Belair had previously expressed her enthusiasm for teaming up with Jade Cargill in future matches.
In an interview with WrestleRant, Belair shared her excitement about the potential matchups, particularly highlighting the prospect of facing Cargill at WrestleMania.
“I used to get questions about facing Jade before she even came to WWE and I would always say, ‘Well, everybody wants what they can’t have,’ but now it’s a possibility. It’s very exciting. I feel like everybody’s talking about ‘Bianca Belair vs. Jade Cargill.’ I think that would be a WrestleMania-caliber match, but also, too, a tag team. There’s so many possibilities. So I’m very excited for it.” [H/T Inside the Ropes]
