As anticipation builds for WrestleMania 40, WWE is touting it as the grandest ‘Mania of all time, yet Dutch Mantell remains unconvinced!
SmackDown delivered another pivotal episode, shaping various WrestleMania storylines. At the forefront is Cody Rhodes’s quest to conclude his narrative, which encountered a new obstacle in the form of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.
The Final Boss, having left Rhodes bloodied on RAW, returns on Night One to join forces with Roman Reigns against Rhodes and Seth Rollins.
On Night Two, the American Nightmare aims to dethrone Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship. Meanwhile, Rollins defends his World Heavyweight Title against Drew McIntyre.
With a lineup boasting several marquee matches, WrestleMania 40 promises to be one of WWE’s most memorable shows in years.
However, Dutch Mantell expressed reservations about labeling it the biggest in WrestleMania history during the latest Smack Talk episode.
“I mean, there were some others. It doesn’t quite pop up in my head right now, but it doesn’t feel as big as it sounded a month or so ago. Am I alone in that assumption? No?”
he remarked. [From 15:20 onwards]
While The Rock’s presence adds star power to the Road to WrestleMania, WWE must rely on the entirety of its card to ensure the two-night extravaganza surpasses previous editions of The Showcase of the Immortals.
