Approaching its monumental 10th-anniversary milestone this April, The Elder Scrolls Online, developed by ZeniMax Online Studios, is preparing to unveil its latest expansion chapter, Gold Road. Scheduled for release on June 3rd for PC and Mac, followed by a PlayStation and Xbox release on June 18th, this eagerly anticipated expansion promises a rich and immersive experience for players.
Gold Road beckons adventurers to explore the expansive West Weald region, characterized by temperate, woodland, and highland zones. Familiar locales, such as the city of Skingrad from The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, set the stage for an epic tale.
Unfortunately, West Weald is currently besieged by Daedric incursions and the encroaching jungles of Valenwood, presenting players with heroic challenges to overcome.
As players traverse West Weald, they’ll encounter a plethora of new quests, challenges, rewards, and stories. The expansion’s main storyline, offering approximately 30 hours of quest content, revolves around the Daedric prince Ithelia and the potential chaos their followers may unleash upon Tamriel.
A captivating addition to the gameplay is the Mirrormoor Incursions, a new world event where players must fend off waves of Daedric invaders attempting to establish a foothold in West Weald.
Furthermore, Gold Road introduces access to Fargrave’s Lucent Citadel, a long-forgotten Daedric vault serving as the backdrop for an all-new 12-player PvE Trial. This Trial features its own set of monsters, boss encounters, rewards, and leaderboards for players to climb.
Two significant features accompany the expansion: Skill Styling, enabling adventurers to customize the visuals of their abilities and Scribing.
Scribing introduces Grimoires, novel skills for existing skill lines, allowing players to customize them beyond their basic functions, tailoring them to their preferences on the action bar.
For eager Elder Scrolls Online players, the journey into Gold Road begins on June 3rd for PC and Mac, while console users can join the adventure slightly later on June 18th.
