An upcoming update to the Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth demo is set to enhance the visual experience of its Performance mode.
Scheduled for release on February 21st, this update will introduce a segment of the Junon area exclusively for the demo, alongside significant visual enhancements that will carry over to the full game.
Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth offers players the choice between Graphics and Performance modes, with the latter ensuring a seamless 60 frames per second (fps) experience.
However, users have noted a decline in image clarity when opting for Performance mode, contrasting with the pristine 4K resolution offered by Graphics mode, resulting in a somewhat softened visual output.
It appears that Square Enix is diligently addressing this concern prior to the game’s official launch on February 29th.
The forthcoming update to the Final Fantasy VII Rebirth demo, slated for February 21st, will implement enhancements to visual quality specifically tailored for users selecting “Performance Mode” from the graphics settings. These enhancements will also be reflected in the full game experience.

For those catching up, additional gameplay footage was revealed during Sony’s recent State of Play event dedicated to Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, coinciding with the release of the demo.
Since then, players have engaged in debates concerning the usage of yellow paint within the game while also showcasing their creativity through in-game piano performances.
Having had the opportunity to preview the game a couple of weeks ago, I was captivated by the introduction of the new card game, Queen’s Blood, which is just one of the many engaging minigames incorporated into the overall experience.
