Maven, a revered figure in the wrestling community known for his popular YouTube channel, expressed interest in a potential role with either WWE or AEW during a recent livestream.
When asked about the possibility of returning to WWE as a commentator, Maven enthusiastically responded,
“Listen, I wanted to go back four years ago… If they were interested in having me, hell yeah, I would go. That’s it. If AEW called, I would listen to what they had to say. I’m not at the position where I’m gonna be making demands.”
His openness to both companies raises questions about whether Triple H or Tony Khan might reach out to him in the near future.
In 2012, Maven faced legal trouble for attempting to obtain prescriptions from multiple doctors. Following his arrest, WWE extended support by offering him rehab services.
Reflecting on that challenging time, Maven recalled,
“I didn’t think it was that big of a deal… As soon as it went out over TMZ… I started getting calls left and right. And actually, one of the first calls I got was from the WWE office, offering me rehabilitation assistance if needed.”
Despite the setbacks, Maven, now 47, remains in remarkable shape. His YouTube channel has gained immense popularity, attracting a dedicated fan base eager to see him contribute to a major wrestling promotion, even in a non-wrestling capacity.
Throughout his livestreams, Maven engages with his audience on a wide range of wrestling topics, showcasing his knowledge and passion for the industry. Fans appreciate his insights and often speculate about his potential return to the ring or commentary booth.
With his experience and charisma, Maven could bring a fresh perspective to the commentary team of either WWE or AEW. Whether he transitions into a broadcasting role or explores other opportunities in the wrestling world, Maven’s continued presence is eagerly anticipated by fans worldwide.
