In a heartbreaking revelation, a former WWE star and one-half of the Bollywood Boyz, Gurv, spoke out about the unfortunate circumstances surrounding his release from the company. Gurv, who was known as one of the Singh Brothers during his time with WWE, revealed that he was fired while he was in rehab and recovering from a dislocated shoulder.
The incident occurred during a 205 Live match against Grayson Waller on June 11, 2021. Gurv bravely fought through the pain and finished the match, only to be let go by the company three weeks later. He expressed his disappointment and heartbreak over being fired while injured, but he remained proud of the work that he and his brother had accomplished in the ring.
It is worth noting that the Bollywood Boyz were released from WWE before Triple H took over the main roster. The other half of the duo, Harv, has since changed their ring names back to the Bollywood Boyz and has been performing in the indies and with AEW.
Meanwhile, former WWE star Matt Cardona has expressed his admiration for the Bollywood Boyz and his belief that WWE should have signed them back in 2024. Cardona, who has previously praised the duo’s in-ring skills, named them as one of the stars that the company should have signed or re-signed.
Despite the unfortunate turn of events, the Bollywood Boyz have continued to make a name for themselves in the wrestling industry. Their courage, determination, and talent have earned them a loyal fanbase, and they continue to deliver impressive performances in the ring.
