Cody Rhodes didn’t hold back when responding to The Rock’s “Final Boss” claim, even name-dropping a former WWE writer who works closely with The Brahma Bull.
In turn, this writer had some choice words for Rhodes, adding more fuel to the fiery exchange.
During this week’s RAW, Rhodes addressed his feud with the newest Bloodline member with a mix of respect and sharp wit, particularly targeting The Great One.
He credited ex-WWE writer Brian Gewirtz, associated with The Rock, for coining the “Final Boss” moniker.
Rhodes suggested that while The Rock might consider himself the ultimate challenge, he sees him more as Roman Reigns’ sidekick at WrestleMania.
In response, Gewirtz, typically known for his amicable nature, seemingly embraced The Rock’s heel persona by throwing shade at Rhodes and even taking a swipe at his dog Pharaoh.

Gewirtz clarified that he didn’t invent the “Final Boss” nickname but didn’t miss the opportunity to poke fun at Rhodes’ pet.
Rhodes’ dog, Pharaoh, made another appearance on WWE television, sporting a bandana with the message “Rock is a Cat,” a gesture acknowledged by Seth Rollins.
The playful banter involving Pharaoh highlights how even the most beloved figures can become targets in the wrestling world’s verbal sparring matches.
As the verbal jousting continues, Cody now shifts his focus to SmackDown, where he confronts Reigns without The Rock’s presence.
Paul Heyman reassures him that no other Bloodline member will intervene, setting the stage for an intense showdown between Rhodes and the Tribal Chief on this Rock-less stage.
