WrestleMania 40 saw a star-studded audience, with notable figures like Jake Paul in attendance. Backstage, Paul had a chance encounter with none other than The Rock.
At the event, The Rock played a significant role in the matches.
He teamed up with Roman Reigns on Night One to defeat Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins. The following night, he made an appearance during the rematch between Reigns and Rhodes, only to be chokeslammed by The Undertaker.
Taking to Instagram, The Rock shared a message with Paul ahead of his upcoming fight with Mike Tyson.
“Good to finally meet you brother at #WrestleMania Looking forward to your fight with the GOAT. As we briefly chatted, you wouldn’t want it any other way. Can’t wait to watch. @jakepaul @miketyson,”
wrote The Rock.
Paul is scheduled to face Tyson in an exhibition boxing match on July 20, marking his return to the ring since his victory over Ryan Bourland in March 2024.
Meanwhile, WrestleMania 40 marked a historic moment as The Rock made his return to the ring.
Teaming up with Reigns, he secured victory for The Bloodline on Night One by pinning Cody Rhodes. However, during the match, The Rock was accidentally speared by Reigns.
Despite The Bloodline’s efforts to hinder Rhodes on Night Two, he emerged victorious, claiming the championship. Following the event, The Rock announced a temporary departure from WWE, hinting at a potential match against Rhodes in the future.
