The Rock is thoroughly enjoying his latest stint in WWE, where he’s been making waves with his heel persona.
Initially returning to WWE as a beloved babyface, “The People’s Champion” has since made a dramatic shift, aligning himself with Roman Reigns and embracing the role of a villain.
Their ongoing feud with Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins has captivated fans, with their showdown set to culminate at WrestleMania 40.
In a recent appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, The Rock opened up about his current heel run in WWE. The conversation turned to his memorable promo referencing “Crackhead Karens” in Phoenix, which elicited quite the reaction.
“It is the best,”
he exclaimed.
“To go back to WWE in this Rock 10.0 version where I can become a heel and say the things that people want to say, let me…I went in and ‘It’s the number one city, you cactus-loving crackheads.’ What I also said was, ‘And every woman in here wants to go one on one with The Rock,’ and all the women go crazy. I said, ‘Now, settle down, you crackhead Karens” [laughs] and then they all cheered again. They were like, ‘Yay!’ [Laughs]”
The Rock’s ability to command the audience’s attention and deliver electrifying promos has been a hallmark of his WWE career.
His willingness to embrace the role of a villain and push the boundaries of traditional storytelling has added a fresh dynamic to WWE programming, leaving fans eager to see what he’ll do next.
