WWE Superstar Tama Tonga made a bold statement at the recent King and Queen of the Ring Premium Live Event in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Not only did he make his second overseas appearance with the company, but he also took to social media to share a rare and telling post about his experience.
Tonga, a member of The Bloodline faction, traveled to Jeddah alongside Solo Sikoa and Paul Heyman for a shot at the final of the tournament on the May 24 episode of SmackDown. This marked his first time participating in a WWE Premium Live Event (PLE) in partnership with Saudi Arabia, and he seemed to cherish the moment. The 41-year-old superstar took to Instagram to share a photo of himself walking down the ramp in Jeddah, accompanied by Solo Sikoa and Paul Heyman.
The post was unusual for Tonga, who is known for being a man of few words both inside and outside the ring. The subtle message behind the upload appears to be one of excitement and gratitude for the opportunity to perform in Saudi Arabia with The Bloodline and WWE.
In addition to his social media post, Tonga also attempted to spice things up during his entrance on Friday Night SmackDown. He tried something unique when his theme song played, entering the arena in Jeddah while crawling on all fours initially. The 41-year-old superstar sported a scary expression on his face, but unfortunately, the crowd seemed confused by the gimmick. It’s possible that Tonga was taunting his opponent, Randy Orton, also known as The Viper, with the snake-inspired entrance.
Although Tonga failed to land his fresh trick and win the match, it will be interesting to see if he gets a chance to post victory images on his social media in the upcoming WWE PLEs. The Bloodline member’s rare social media post and unique entrance attempt suggest that he may be looking to step out of his comfort zone and make a bigger impact in the WWE.
