Former World Champion Sheamus made a triumphant return to WWE on this week’s RAW after recovering from a shoulder injury that kept him sidelined for months.
However, the 46-year-old Irish wrestler recently disclosed that he contemplated retirement from in-ring competition just two months ago.
Sheamus’ last match occurred on the August 18, 2023, edition of Friday Night SmackDown against Adam Copeland, popularly known as Edge. Following the bout, he took time off to recuperate from his injuries, including neck issues.

Taking to Instagram to share his thoughts on his arduous recovery journey, Sheamus expressed gratitude to the medical professionals who aided in his clearance to return to the ring. His candid post garnered attention from fellow WWE Superstars, with many offering support and encouragement.
In a heartwarming gesture, Sheamus’ former tag team partner Cesaro, now known as Claudio Castagnoli in AEW, lavished praise on the Irish powerhouse in an interview with WrestleTalk.
In an interview with WrestleTalk, Claudio Castagnoli was asked whether there was anyone from WWE that he wanted to see come to AEW.
