WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels shared unseen footage of Blair Davenport’s emotional reaction to being drafted to SmackDown.
The clip, posted on X/Twitter, revealed Davenport breaking down in tears after her selection in the 2024 Draft. Michaels issued a warning to the SmackDown roster, hinting at the fierce competition Davenport would bring.
“The surface has barely been scratched as far as what [Blair Davenport] is capable of between those ropes. A warning to the #SmackDown roster… be ready for a FIGHT! #WWEDraft,” Michaels tweeted.
Although Davenport hasn’t claimed a title in WWE yet, her addition to the SmackDown women’s roster is significant.
Shawn Michaels also praised Carmelo Hayes, another NXT star drafted to SmackDown on Night One of the draft. Michaels acknowledged Hayes’ contribution to NXT’s new era and labeled him a game-changer.
“[Carmelo Hayes] is a champion in every sense of the word who helped lay the foundation of everything this new era of #WWENXT has become. #SmackDown just picked up a game changer, and I couldn’t be more proud,” Michaels tweeted.
With several NXT talents making the leap to the main roster during the draft, WWE fans await eagerly to see how the company will utilize their skills and potential in the future.
