Seth Rollins recently provided an update on his injury and addressed concerns about his participation in WrestleMania XL after revealing a knee injury a few weeks ago.
The World Heavyweight Champion sustained the injury during a title defense against Jinder Mahal on RAW, tearing his MCL. Subsequently, he appeared on the following week’s episode with a brace, making it clear to the WWE Universe that he was dealing with an injury.
In a recent interview on the Rich Eisen Show, Rollins shared insights into his recovery timeline and confirmed his presence at WrestleMania XL. He expressed optimism about his progress in rehabilitation and stated that he expects to be fully recovered by April.
Rollins shared, “It feels really good. I tore my MCL three weeks ago, meniscus injury in there as well. But I feel really good. I really kind of turned a corner this week with the rehab. I’m feeling really good. I think another three or four weeks or so; I’m not exactly sure. But I’ll definitely be back before WrestleMania. We’ll be healthy and ready to go. 100% at WrestleMania, no question.”
Meanwhile, Damian Priest, the Money in the Bank briefcase holder, has been attempting to cash in on Rollins without success. In an interview with West Sport, Priest explained the reason for his unsuccessful attempts, citing Rollins’ medical clearance status as the obstacle.
Priest, who currently holds the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship with Finn Balor, mentioned that as Rollins is not medically cleared, he cannot cash in at the moment.
Priest and Balor are slated to defend their tag team titles against Tyler Bate and Pete Dunn at Elimination Chamber. Despite his unsuccessful attempts to cash in on Rollins, it remains to be seen if Priest can capitalize on the opportunity before July 2024.
