Fresh off a stunning victory over Devin Haney, Ryan Garcia has surprisingly called out newly crowned WBC and WBO super welterweight champion Sebastian Fundora.
Despite a significant height difference, Garcia is undeterred and confident in his ability to challenge at 154 pounds. At a post-fight press conference, Garcia expressed his bold ambition:
“I had a vision to fight Fundora at 154 [pounds]. I don’t know why, I just feel like I could knock him out. I know that’s really, really random. But I just feel like I could get a title at 154. I’ve fought guys that big before and I’ve knocked them out in sparring, cold, slept them. So I want to do it. Shout out Fundora though, no disrespect.”
