Rob Van Dam, a revered WWE Hall of Famer, shares the spotlight with his mentor Paul Heyman, who is also set to be inducted. The burning question remains: who will have the honor of inducting the original architect of extreme?
In the latest episode of “1 Of A Kind With RVD,” Van Dam disclosed that he hadn’t initially planned to attend the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony this year.
However, upon hearing the announcement of Heyman’s induction, RVD expressed his intent to rearrange his schedule to be present.
As WrestleMania draws near, speculation runs rampant about who will have the privilege of inducting Heyman. Many names are worthy contenders, with RVD himself being among them.
Yet, Rob humbly voiced his thoughts on the matter, stating, “I think they can definitely find somebody better than me. You know, it’d be an honor. And of course, if I was nominated and asked to do it, I would give it my best.”
If RVD were to have the honor, he emphasized the importance of seeking input from fellow wrestlers who were profoundly influenced by Heyman.
He mentioned three names—Tommy Dreamer, Bubba Ray Dudley, and Taz—as more fitting choices for the induction, given their deeper connection with Heyman during their time in New York.
While both Taz and RVD have ties to AEW, Van Dam’s involvement in WWE 2K24 and an upcoming figure release by Mattel make him a compelling candidate.
Heyman headlines a prestigious Hall of Fame class, alongside Bull Nakano, The U.S. Express, and Muhammad Ali. The anticipation builds as fans eagerly await the unveiling of the individual who will do justice to Heyman’s remarkable legacy in the wrestling world.
