As WrestleMania XL approaches, the possibility of a surprise return by Ronda Rousey looms large.
Rousey, who will be in town during the weekend, might make a cameo appearance in Philadelphia, potentially returning as a heel to interfere in Becky Lynch’s Women’s World Championship match against Rhea Ripley.
The former “Baddest Woman On The Planet” left WWE shortly after SummerSlam last year, concluding her tenure with a loss to Shayna Baszler in an MMA rules match.

Following her departure, Rousey officially announced her retirement from professional wrestling on Instagram. However, the 37-year-old athlete returned to the ring a few months later, joining forces with her best friend Marina Shafir on the independent circuit and ROH.
A potential scenario of Ronda Rousey costing Becky Lynch at WrestleMania would set the stage for a long-anticipated singles match between the two women.
This matchup was originally intended to take place at Survivor Series in 2018 but never materialized.
Becky Lynch, in an interview with Daily Mail UK, discussed why her dream match against Ronda Rousey never happened during Rousey’s active WWE career.
Despite the missed opportunity, Lynch expressed openness to the idea of facing Rousey in the future if she returns to WWE:
“Do I think that was the match that everyone was clamoring for? Yes, it was. Everyone wanted that singles match. And I think people thought that moment in time would be evergreen, and it wasn’t. That’s OK too. I think you can’t force things when they’re not there, and I think we see that with what’s currently going on with the product. If she ever comes back again, maybe that season will be right there. Maybe it will be springtime on that story again, but it never got back to that.”
The only time Rousey and Lynch shared the ring was during the triple-threat match at WrestleMania 35, which also featured Charlotte Flair for the RAW and SmackDown Women’s titles.
The possibility of a future singles competition between Rousey and Lynch remains uncertain, leaving fans eagerly anticipating the unfolding of this potential storyline.
