Rogue Company, a free-to-play shooter, has cut ties with Guy “Dr Disrespect” Beahm. The developer, First Watch Game, removed all content related to the streamer after allegations surfaced that Beahm had inappropriate communications with a minor. This action comes after a prolonged period without any new content updates for the game.
The removed content includes a $40 Dr Disrespect bundle featuring a map and a skin. To address the impact on players who purchased this bundle, the developer will issue refunds in the form of the in-game currency, Rogue Bucks. They communicated this decision through a post on X/Twitter, ensuring that all affected accounts would receive their refunds within the week.
Beahm recently spoke about the accusations tied to his 2020 Twitch ban, admitting that he had messaged a minor in 2017. He acknowledged that these communications, which he described as casual and mutual, sometimes became inappropriately suggestive. This admission has had significant repercussions for Beahm’s career.
Consequently, Beahm has been severed from various professional engagements. Midnight Society, the game studio he co-founded, and gaming headset manufacturer Turtle Beach have both ended their associations with him. Additionally, his YouTube channel has been demonetized, further impacting his presence and income within the gaming community.
