WWE Superstar Rhea Ripley is set to defend her Women’s World Championship against Becky Lynch at WrestleMania 40, and tensions between the two are reaching a boiling point.
Whether it’s during interviews or live events, their encounters often require security intervention to prevent a full-scale brawl.
Both Ripley and Lynch are top competitors in WWE’s women’s division, so they need to be in peak condition to ensure neither gains an advantage at The Show of Shows.
However, Ripley recently disclosed on The MMA Hour with Ariel Helwani that she’s been dealing with a nagging wrist injury.
“It’s my wrist, it’s been bothering me for a while, but it’s okay. It’s nothing I can’t handle. In this line of work, there’s always little things going on, so I’m just fighting through it,”
Ripley explained.
Despite the injury, Ripley remains unfazed and is determined to deliver her best performance at WrestleMania 40.
On the final episode of WWE RAW before WrestleMania 40, tensions between Ripley and Lynch reached a boiling point.
Lynch took offense to Ripley mentioning her daughter, Roux, and disrupted Ripley’s interview on The MMA Hour. In retaliation, Ripley confronted Lynch during Monday Night RAW.
Although General Manager Adam Pearce attempted to defuse the situation and urged them to wait until WrestleMania 40, tensions boiled over as Ripley stormed the ring, leading to a brawl between the two.
Security had to intervene to separate them, setting the stage for their final showdown at WrestleMania 40 and giving fans a taste of the intensity to expect during the Ripley vs. Lynch matchup.
