Former WWE manager Dutch Mantell, also known as Zeb Colter among fans, recently offered his perspective on the notable silence from top officials amidst the Vince McMahon lawsuit.
Amidst the disturbing allegations of sexual assault and trafficking against the former WWE Chairman, key figures such as Bruce Prichard and Triple H have opted to refrain from making public statements. Instead, they have underscored that the matter is being addressed through the ongoing investigation.
During a recent episode of Smack Talk, Dutch Mantell delved into the potential reasons behind the silence of WWE’s top brass on the issue. He highlighted the significant legal costs associated with defending oneself in such situations, even if one is not directly involved in any wrongdoing.
“Nobody wants to get involved in that because not only could you be implicated in it, especially if you knew something about it, it’s gonna cost you some money. Now you’ve got to retain counsel to defend yourself, and those lawyers aren’t cheap. It probably cost you ten-twenty thousand dollars just to defend yourself,” Dutch Mantell explained. As the investigation progresses, it will be intriguing to observe when further details about the case begin to emerge.
Recently, a close friend of Ashley Massaro came forward with a startling account involving the late WWE star and a high-profile board meeting attended by Stephanie McMahon. The story has gained traction online, prompting reactions from figures like Dutch Mantell, who found the narrative disturbingly plausible.
Mantell also addressed the rumored reaction of Stephanie McMahon to Massaro’s interruption of the board meeting, expressing surprise at the reported lack of sympathy from Vince McMahon’s daughter:
“You would think her [Stephanie McMahon] being a female, she would be more receptive to it and most sympathetic. From what I hear, she was the least sympathetic or one of the least of all in attendance.” [From 7:40 onwards]
