The Pokémon Company is set to revive its immensely popular Pokémon Center pop-up store in London this April, promising an array of exclusive Pokémon merchandise to delight fans.
Marking its return to the UK, the Pokémon Center coincides with the Pokémon Europe International Championships, scheduled to be held at ExCeL London from April 4th to 7th. The store will be accessible at the venue daily from 10 am to 8 pm, except on Sunday, when it will close at 4 pm.
Past instances of the Pokémon Center pop-up in the UK have drawn substantial crowds, indicating the anticipation surrounding its latest iteration.
The Pokémon Company emphasizes that while entry to the store is open to the general public and does not necessitate a competitor or spectator badge, reservations are compulsory, even for badged attendees. Further details on the reservation procedure will be disclosed “closer to the event.”
Upon entering the Pokémon Center, visitors can expect to find “International Championships-exclusive products” along with a specially curated selection from Pokémon Center UK. A “sneak peek” of the offerings is slated to be unveiled on official Pokémon social media channels “in the next few weeks.”
Exclusive products from previous Pokémon Center UK iterations have included the likes of Beefeater Pikachu and Roserade in 2022 and a Pikachu donning a suit and bowler hat in 2019.
The latter proved immensely popular, prompting The Pokémon Company to implement limitations on store hours and purchases. Similarly, for the 2024 ExCeL London event, the company cautions that purchases “may” be subject to restrictions to ensure equitable access to products for all customers.
