Mercedes Mone is poised to make her highly anticipated All Elite Wrestling (AEW) debut on the upcoming “AEW Dynamite” episode titled “Big Business” on March 13.
This marks a significant milestone for Mone, who spent a decade with WWE and had a brief stint under the Bushiroad umbrella.
In a recent interview with the “Kick Rocks Wrestling Podcast,” Mone delved into her departure from WWE, which occurred after her walkout alongside tag team partner Naomi on “WWE Raw” in May 2022.
Despite parting ways with WWE, Mone expressed confidence in a future return to the company. Although this specific line was initially deleted from the original interview, it was later released as a “Mack Cut” clip.
Mone stated,
“I know I’m going to be back there [in WWE] one day, okay? So it’s not over. Like I said, I have a lot of unfinished business in wrestling, in a lot of places.”
During her illustrious WWE career under the name Sasha Banks, Mone achieved significant success, ascending to the top of the main event scene with multiple title reigns, including the “WWE Raw” and “WWE SmackDown” Women’s Championships.
Additionally, Mone, alongside Bayley and Naomi, secured three WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships. Following her departure from WWE in 2022, Mone ventured into NJPW and STARDOM, becoming the second-ever IWGP Women’s Champion.
Mercedes Mone’s journey reflects the dynamic nature of professional wrestling careers, with chapters unfolding in various promotions.
As she embarks on her AEW journey, the assurance of a potential return to WWE adds an intriguing layer to her evolving narrative, leaving fans eager to witness the next chapters in Mone’s storied career.
