Kevin Spacey has refuted fresh allegations of inappropriate behavior from men featured in an upcoming Channel 4 documentary.
In an interview with journalist Dan Wootton, the double Oscar winner, posted on X, asserted that he will “no longer be speechless.”
Last year, Spacey was acquitted of nine sexual offenses alleged by four men between 2001 and 2013 in a trial in London. Additionally, he won a US civil lawsuit in October 2022, following accusations of an unwanted sexual advance at a party in 1986.
According o an email disclosed during the interview, the Channel 4 documentary titled “Spacey Unmasked” will present testimonies from men detailing events purportedly occurring between 1976 and 2013, describing unwanted sexual behavior from Spacey.
The two-part series, produced by Roast Beef Productions, is scheduled to air next Monday and Tuesday.
“I take full responsibility for my past behavior and actions, but I cannot and will not take responsibility or apologize to anyone who’s fabricated allegations or exaggerated stories about me,” stated the 64-year-old actor.
During the interview, Spacey maintained that he had never promised career advancement in exchange for sexual favors but acknowledged making “clumsy passes” in the past.
“Were there times when I would flirt with some of the people who were involved in those programs who were in their 20s? Yes,” he admitted. “But I was not employing them, I was not their boss.”
Spacey emphasized that his experience following the allegations has been akin to a “life sentence,” as he has struggled to find work despite being acquitted of all criminal charges.
In 2017, Spacey faced allegations of sexual misconduct, leading Netflix to sever ties with the actor. Sky News has been unable to independently verify the recent allegations.
