Roman Reigns’s absence from WWE has left a noticeable void in the weekly shows, but his cousin, Jey Uso, is making some big predictions ahead of the Draft.
As the event approaches, Uso boldly forecasts Reigns as the first draft pick for Friday Night SmackDown, confident that The Tribal Chief won’t be making a move to Monday Night RAW anytime soon.
In a recent interview on WWE’s YouTube channel, Jey Uso shared his thoughts, expressing, “Roman Reigns, you know what I’m saying, if it’s SmackDown. RAW side, if you want to catch the number one draft, man. I mean, I’m going to throw myself in the hat, dawg.”
Reflecting on Reigns’s journey, Uso highlighted how unexpected it was for him to transition into the role of The Tribal Chief, especially considering his previous status as a face of the company.
He emphasized how Reigns’s portrayal as a villain elevated both himself and Uso on Friday Night SmackDown, particularly during their intense rivalry.
Interestingly, Uso revealed a nugget about the original plan for Reigns’s character, indicating that ‘The Fiend’ Bray Wyatt was initially slated to be his first major storyline on SmackDown.
However, Uso believes that their feud wouldn’t have elevated Reigns in the same way that his intense rivalry did, leading to the creation of The Bloodline and propelling Uso into the spotlight as a singles star.
As the Draft approaches, fans await eagerly to see if Uso’s prediction about Reigns holds true and what it means for the future of both brands in WWE.
