The tension between the brothers has been palpable ever since Jimmy’s betrayal at SummerSlam 2023, where he cost Jey the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship. Subsequently, Jimmy’s interference also led to Jey and Cody Rhodes losing the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Title, adding fuel to their already strained relationship.
On Instagram, Jey offered a glimpse into the significance of their WrestleMania 40 clash with a succinct post:
“Dream match just became a reality. Me vs. Me Yeet vs. NoYeet #Wrestlemania XL.”
The challenge was initially issued by Jey on Monday Night RAW, with Jimmy officially accepting it during Friday’s SmackDown episode.
This sets the stage for a highly anticipated showdown between the brothers, who headlined Night 1 of WrestleMania 39 but fell short in their bid to retain the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championships against Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens.
Despite the animosity between them, Jey Uso emphasized his enduring respect for The Bloodline and his family in a recent interview with the Battleground Podcast. Reflecting on their complex dynamics, Jey reaffirmed the bond they share, regardless of their controversial actions.
“Man, come. We family at the end of the day,” Jey expressed. “Come. Some of your worst enemies might be in your family, but at the end of the day, we are all still a family. So if you out there, I ain’t gonna name drop, but if y’all out there, I like all of our family being here, here, here, here. But at the end of the day, I feel like if we all come to the big leagues, WWE, it’s mind-blowing what could happen.”
