JD McDonagh and Finn Balor, two prominent members of the Judgment Day faction in WWE, have been making headlines lately. On this week’s edition of Monday Night RAW, United States Champion Logan Paul joined forces with the Judgment Day faction to take out Jey Uso.
However, things took an unexpected turn when Paul accidentally punched McDonagh instead of Uso.
The Maverick had borrowed Patrick Mahomes’ three Super Bowl rings to punch the former WWE Tag Team Champion, but Main Event Jey ducked just in time, leaving McDonagh to bear the brunt of the vicious smack.
The aftermath of the incident was captured in a backstage segment, where McDonagh showed off brutal scars from Paul’s accidental punch on his forehead. The Irish Ace took to Instagram to share a video reacting to McDonagh’s bruise, prompting a five-word response from McDonagh: “You should see the other guy.”
In addition to his exchange with Balor, McDonagh also took to X (formerly Twitter) to demand a gift from Logan Paul for his mistake. Sharing a photo of his bruises with an impression of Patrick Mahomes’ Super Bowl rings, McDonagh asked Paul to send him a crate of PRIME Hydration to his doorstep at the earliest.
Despite the drama surrounding Judgment Day, McDonagh has not won a championship since joining the faction. He recently participated in the first round of semi-finals for the WWE Speed Championship competition but failed to pick up the win over Ricochet.
As a result, Ricochet advanced to the finals and will face Johnny Gargano for the brand new title.
It remains to be seen if World Wrestling Entertainment has any plans for McDonagh to bag a title while being part of the heinous faction. One thing is certain, however – JD McDonagh is not one to back down from a fight or a challenge.
His recent interactions with Finn Balor and Logan Paul are proof that he is willing to speak his mind and stand up for himself, even if it means ruffling a few feathers along the way.
