Jay White’s most recent appearance in AEW was during the “AEW Dynamite: Big Business” special, where he secured victory against Darby Allin.
However, since then, White has been notably absent from in-ring action, leading fans to speculate about his future with the company.
Nonetheless, “Fightful Select” has shed light on the reason behind his absence.
According to the report from Fightful, White has only been featured in pre-taped backstage promos alongside Bullet Club Gold in recent television segments.
Upon inquiry, AEW clarified that White’s absence from live appearances is due to his work visa restrictions, preventing him from working in Canada at this time.
The report further mentioned that White will resume his on-screen presence once AEW concludes its current Canadian tour and returns to the United States.
Following White’s victory over Allin, an altercation ensued as White and Bullet Club Gold attacked Allin, only to be interrupted by The Acclaimed and Billy Gunn.
It is anticipated that this storyline will be further explored in the ring once AEW resumes its activities stateside. In the interim,
The Acclaimed and “Daddy Ass” have held the Trios Championships since August 2023 and are expected to defend their titles against Bullet Club Gold in the near future.
This presents an opportunity for White to vie for his first AEW-branded championship, while also potentially allowing The Gunns to reclaim gold following their previous reign as AEW World Tag Team Champions.
