Jade Cargill is making strides towards WrestleMania, as she made a notable appearance on “WWE SmackDown” last Friday to support Naomi and Bianca Belair.
This appearance marked the debut of a brand new entrance for her, distinct from her previous abbreviated entrance in the Women’s Royal Rumble.
The new entrance featured Cargill appearing in silhouette amidst a backdrop resembling the cosmos, illuminated by surrounding lights.
According to reports from Fightful Select, the development of Cargill’s entrance has been ongoing for some time, and there may still be further refinements before her match at WrestleMania 40.
WWE has reportedly dedicated significant effort to perfecting Cargill’s entrance, seeking input on various aspects, including camera angles, lighting, sound, and presentation.
Cargill is scheduled to team up with Belair and Naomi to face off against Damage CTRL’s Kairi Sane, Asuka, and Dakota Kai at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, PA.
Having signed with WWE in September, the former AEW TBS Champion made sporadic appearances on WWE television before stepping into the ring for the company in January.
Her debut in the Women’s Royal Rumble showcased her dominance, but she remained off TV screens afterward.
However, she had been hinting at an impending return ahead of last Friday’s “SmackDown,” where she came to the aid of Naomi and Belair in their ongoing feud with Damage CTRL.
Barring any additional bookings before the weekend, her WrestleMania match will mark Cargill’s first non-battle royal match since September, when she faced Kris Statlander in her final AEW bout.
Furthermore, it will also be her first tag team match since February 2023.
