Marvel fans were in for a surprise when they caught a first glimpse of the new Falcon in Captain America 4, courtesy of an unlikely source – a McDonald’s advertisement. This unexpected reveal introduced us to the new character, Joaquin Torres, played by Danny Ramirez, who has taken on the mantle of Falcon after Sam Wilson became Captain America.
In the leaked McDonald’s tie-in poster, we see Joaquin Torres in mid-flight, sporting a striking new green-hued suit, helmet, and wings. These new elements mark a significant departure from Sam Wilson’s previous grey and red outfit.r Air Force colleague of Sam Wilson introduced in The Falcon and Torres, a forme the Winter Soldier, has now assumed the role of Falcon in Captain America 4, officially titled Captain America: Brave World.
Returning Faces and New Additions
Joining Anthony Mackie and Danny Ramirez in Captain America 4 are several familiar faces from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Harrison Ford steps into the role of Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross, replacing the late William Hurt, alongside Liv Tyler as Betty Ross and Tim Blake Nelson as Samuel Sterns (AKA Leader), all of whom previously appeared in 2008’s The Incredible Hulk.
Behind the Scenes
Julius Onah, known for directing The Cloverfield Paradox, sits in the director’s chair for Captain America: Brave World. The script is co-written by Malcolm Spellman, creator of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier series. The film is set to hit theatres on February 14, 2025, as part of Marvel’s Phase 5.
