Charlotte Flair stands tall as one of the most influential female wrestlers in the world of professional wrestling, not only due to her illustrious lineage but also owing to her stellar performances inside the WWE ring spanning over a decade.
With an impressive record of being a 14-time Women’s World Champion, Charlotte consistently delivers top-notch performances in the ring, making her a coveted opponent for many aspiring young talents.
Among these hopefuls is Haley J, affectionately known as “HollyHood,” and daughter of the renowned Canadian wrestler Amazing Maria.
In a recent conversation with WrestlingNewsCo’s Steve Fall, Haley J expressed her aspirations of making a mark in the wrestling world by venturing into different territories such as the United Kingdom and Japan before setting her sights on the ultimate destination – WWE.
When asked about her vision for the future, she confidently asserted, “Well, the WWE is always the goal. WWE is definitely the goal.”
Highlighting her admiration for Charlotte Flair, Haley J revealed her eagerness to share the ring with the wrestling icon, despite knowing about Charlotte’s current injury hiatus.
“I know she’s (Charlotte’s) hurt right now. So, she’s taking her time, I’m taking my time, and then boom! I’ll see you soon, honey,”
she quipped.
Charlotte Flair’s absence from the squared circle is due to a series of debilitating injuries suffered during a match with her longtime rival Asuka on the December 8th Tribute to the Troops special episode of SmackDown.
Her recovery timeline suggests that she might be off television for a significant portion of this year.
Meanwhile, Charlotte’s real-life husband, Andrade El Idolo, made a dramatic return to WWE at the Royal Rumble.
Entering the 30-man battle royal at number four, Andrade showcased his prowess in the ring, lasting an impressive twenty-three minutes before being eliminated by “Big” Bronson Reed.
Despite Charlotte’s absence from the spotlight, she was present backstage at the event in late January, showing support for her husband.
While Andrade’s upcoming storyline or singles match on the main roster remains undisclosed, he has aligned himself with the RAW brand on Monday nights.
Recently, the 34-year-old wrestler shed light on his decision to request release from the company in March 2021 through a compelling vignette, marking a new chapter in his wrestling journey.
